Baloo Unleashed | is Baloo always on a leash? This is one of our most frequent questions + the answer is nope! Sometimes he is, sometimes he isn’t, all depends on the situation 🌲. Like in this picture, we actually took Baloo’s harness off too. There was no one around, everything was quiet, and most importantly Baloo was very comfortable, so we made the decision that this was a safe time! More often though, he’ll have both his harness and leash on, but he’s free to roam (we aren’t holding the leash). He’s quite small and loves to chase bugs into the bushes so the leash makes it a lot easier to keep track of him, even if we aren’t physically holding it. The other reason we keep it on, is when we are on a trail with other people and dogs hiking, we can grab him if needed. Cat Tip: If you take your cat on a trail and hear other hikers with pups, yell out that you have a cat. Owners know their dogs, but they can’t do anything if they have no idea what they’re about to stumble upon! And when we’re holding the leash, it’s usually because we are on a busy trail and/or Baloo doesn’t feel 100% comfortable.
